Under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer, primarily responsible for scheduling and coordinating student, resident, and other health professional rotations between medical school(s) and Adelante Healthcare (AHC), one of ATSU's community campuses. Outreaches to hospitals, physicians, and various institutions to obtain rotations for students. Requires four-year degree in healthcare or business and prior experience in a medical school rotation coordinator or similar role.

Chief Financial Officer

Mountain Park Health Center works with the communities that it serves to sustain and improve health by providing affordable primary care. We are a federally qualified community health center with 5 clinical locations throughout the valley. The senior leaders receive 200 hours of personal time and 7 paid holidays per year. All Health Related benefits start the first of month following 3 months of employment. The company pays 90% of the medical and dental premiums for the employee and 50% of the premiums for dependents.

JOB SUMMARY
Directs the organization's financial planning and accounting practices. Functions as the organization's liaison with lending institutions, shareholders, and the financial community.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Prepares and/or provides oversight of budget preparation by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing and consolidating financial data and making recommendations. Provides the final budget review and approval prior to presentation of the budget to the Governing Board for their review.
  2. Ensures that internal reports are timely, accurate, and adequate to allow for effective management at all levels of the center.
  3. Responsible for preparation of financial statements and annual audit thereof.
  4. Develops and recommends corporate fiscal policy.
  5. Establishes, monitors, and enforces internal controls to protect the company's assets.
  6. Assists with evaluation and negotiation of contracts, such as AHCCCS plan contracts, managed care contracts, vendor contracts, and leases.
  7. Responsible for supplying required fiscal information for government grants and for ensuring compliance with applicable regulations related to these grants.
  8. Coaches, mentors and assists with the development of management staff in the finance department.
  9. Responsible for the oversight of all MIS functions for the organization.
  10. Other duties as assigned.
  11. Must be able to embraces differences among people and is able to interact with internal staff as well as external contacts in a culturally competent and respectful manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Expertise in the areas of General Accepted Accounting Principles, budgetary procedures, computerized record keeping, fiscal management, and grant financial management.
  • Proficiency with computers and related financial and practice management software.
  • Oral and written communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to effectively exchange and convey information and receive and delegate work direction.
  • Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with the organization's employees, governmental and private organizations and groups, the public and the media as appropriate.

EDUCATION
Master's degree or equivalent; and ten years of experience as a CFO and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
