River Cities Community Clinic

Executive Director

The River Cities Community Clinic (RCCC) is a nonprofit primary care organization located in Bullhead City, Arizona, across the beautiful Colorado River from Laughlin, Nevada. RCCC provides high quality, comprehensive and affordable primary care services to provide to those living in tri-state area, regardless of their financial circumstances. RCCC is seeking an experienced individual to lead this nascent organization as it moves into the next phase of organizational development. Applications are being accepted until October 1, 2008.

The position of Executive Director requires a great deal of independent judgment. The Executive Director advises the board of directors as to the current status of clinic financially, administratively, and clinically, and advises the board on the need for policy changes. The Executive Director interprets board policy for staff and ensures implementation. The Executive Director articulates RCCC's mission and vision to the community, funding sources and regulatory bodies. Other specific responsibilities includes developing and maintaining new programs as well as the potential for expanding services already in operation; identifying and establishing formal arrangements with partnering organizations; responsible for oversight and for insuring compliance with all regulatory authorities, licensing and inspecting agencies. The position reports to the Board of Directors.

Education and Experience: Minimum of a BA (in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field) is required and at least five years in progressively more responsible managerial positions in the health field; OR a Masters degree (in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field) and two years of administrative/management experience in the health field. A minimum of two years experience with managed care is preferred.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the principles and techniques of grant administration, contract administration and negotiation, fiscal and organizational management, and principles and practices of community health centers and other community organizations; personnel management; fund raising; and working with a board of directors and community agencies, as well as excellent communication skills.

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Position Summary

Marana Health Center, Inc., a Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC), is currently seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our Finance and Accounting Department. As part of the senior management team, this position will be involved in the strategic planning process, grant writing and play a critical role in financial reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors.

The CFO is responsible for the administration of financial statements, annual audits, defines and recommends objectives with emphasis on short-term and long-term plans and programs, to meet financial goals for MHC.

Also, the CFO is responsible for all aspects of payroll, accounting functions, third party billing and contracting. Conducts contract negotiations with managed care organizations, ability to project future financial performance in an expansion environment. Utilizes Universal Data Set (UDS) and Medicare Cost reporting to improve and obtain sound financial results.

Possess a professional demeanor of leadership and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and participating in professional organizations.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Finance
  • C.P.A. designation preferred or M.B.A.
  • 5-10 years of experience in financial management with increasing responsibilities for multi-faceted direction and planning
  • Experience in working in Community Health Center environment desired
  • Experience with Third Party & patient billing and Contracting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills

Billing and Contracts Director

Position Summary

Canyonlands Community Health Care located on the shores of beautiful Lake Powell in Page, Arizona has an opening for a Billing and Contracts Director. This position oversees the daily operation of the CCHC billing office. Monitors accounts receivable aging, ensuring accurate billing, collection and patient accounting systems are working efficiently.

Duties include negotiating third party and occupational health contracts, perform contract analysis and input into the practice management system (NextGen). Oversees processing of encounters/claims and other information ensuring it is sent to appropriate payor on a weekly basis. Responsible for closing of each month in a timely manner and providing the financial data to the CFO. Responsible for primary care program billing and reporting to Arizona Department of Health Services. Also updates the CCHC fee schedule on an annual basis. Hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates all billing department staff.

Qualified applicants for this position must have knowledge of Medicare guidelines and regulations, previous supervisory experience, and expanded computer skills. Must have medical coding skills. Experience with NextGen practice management and EMR systems preferred.

Salary Range: $40,000 - $60,000 per annum.
