PrintThe Medicare FQHC cost report is a document that is often confusing for, and misunderstood by, health center management teams.  This session will help participants gain a better understanding of the Medicare FQHC cost reporting process, including a discussion of the interrelationship of the Medicare cost report with a health center’s obligation to enhance revenues in accordance with the Bureau of Primary Health Care’s Health Center Program Requirements.

The agenda for the day will include discussion on:

  • Medicare as a payer for FQHCs and how to grow this “book of business”
  • Medicare reimbursement for FQHCs and enrollment considerations
  • The Medicare cost report and review examples of the report
  • The role and importance of the Medicare FQHC cost report  in the new Medicare FQHC Prospective Payment System (PPS)
  • Medicare Advantage Plan reimbursement and considerations
  • Medicare cost reporting process
