AACHC is continuing its series in developing and refreshing skills for leads, supervisors and managers. This year, we have engaged Rising Stars, LLC., to bring a dynamic training to our upcoming CHC leaders, Your Role as a Leader.
Who Should Attend:
The Leadership role is very different that your previous role if you are one of the many people who began with the organization as a person who provides direct client care. Individual contributors, experts, and technical specialists often find themselves in a leadership troll which requires that they no longer produce the work themselves, but rather, accomplish the work through other people. This requires skills that may not have been essential before; such as leading and influencing others.
Fulfilling Your Role as a Leader
Giving and Receiving Feedback
Giving feedback is the number one skill all leaders of people need to develop to hold people accountable. Yet feedback is often seen as a negative so leaders avoid it at all costs. After this afternoon, you will be able to understand the common barriers of giving feedback and how to overcome them, as well as the steps that will make feedback more positive and still hold people accountable.
