Terros Health is pleased to share an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Senior Director of Diversity and Inclusion working at our Central Avenue location in Phoenix, AZ.  Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, ideal individual is flexible, compassionate, and professional.

The Sr. Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) leads and advances the DEI efforts of Terros Health with a focus on creating alignment between Terros Health’ mission, vision, values, and strategy and its employees, patients, culture and processes. This position is responsible for engaging with employees, patients, and the community to build and sustain the DEI strategy and initiatives of the Company.  The Sr. Director acts as a champion for the business and an advisor to managers and the leadership team on diversity and inclusion issues.

Main duties –

  • Engages employees, patients, and community in gathering data regarding diversity and inclusion needs and opportunities.
  • Engaging with stakeholders facilitates the development, implementation and dissemination of the Company’s diversity equity and inclusion plan and initiatives.
  • Develop and monitor DEI metrics to demonstrate impact of DEI initiatives.
  • Coordinate and periodically attend external cultural community outreach efforts when appropriate.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources on addressing employee relations issues, recruitment practices and recognition strategies to meet the needs of a diverse workforce.
  • Coordinate with clinical departments to ensure patient care is culturally competent and in the language of choice for the patient.
  • Oversee DEI initiatives with a focus on creating a culture of belonging where every employee feels valued, and every patient is treated like family.
  • Provide leadership and structure to Employee Resource Groups.

Education – Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Communications, or related field plus 3-5 years of experience in Diversity & Inclusion.

  • Ability to understand, interpret, and perform analysis related to metrics.
  • A remarkable strength in communication and relationship building. Has clear insight into own style/impact and is adept at reading and influencing a variety of people.
  • Ability to be strategic and creative but also tactical, with experience driving projects to completion.
  • Highly perceptive, with an ability to interact with employees and management across all levels.
  • Excellent coaching, mentoring, and facilitating skills.
  • Strong presentation, writing, listening and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office.
  • Must have valid Arizona driver’s license, be 22 years of age with minimum 3 years driving experience and meet requirements of Terros Health’s driving policy.
  • Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within 7 working days of assuming role.
  • Must pass a TB Test.
