The Arizona Alliance of Community Health Centers is seeking for a Grants and Contracts Manager who will support all departments with grants administration including contract oversight, compliance, documentation, tracking deadlines, and ensuring all grant deliverables are met. This position also researches and identifies new grant opportunities that align with organizational priorities and prepares grant applications for submission. The position is located in Phoenix.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides guidance to staff on grant-funded project scope, deadlines, deliverables, and allowable expenditures and activities through the utilization of project management software along with written and verbal communications to ensure timely completion of required activities.
  • Identifies when grant projects require funder approval for scope of work or budget modifications and coordinates the necessary documentation and change request process as required for each grant funder.
  • Facilitates coordination between program managers and the Finance Department to ensure grant funds are expended within the budget period.
  • Reviews contracts for compliance with federal, state, and other agencies’ grant and contract provisions, and to ensure contracts include the appropriate statement of work as intended by program requirements and staff expectations.
  • Using the organization’s templates, creates and revises sub-recipient and sub-contract agreements for grant programs as needed, and maintains contract tracking to monitor contract end-dates and to develop amendments and renewals as appropriate.
  • Responsible for internal contract signatures and submission of signed contract documents to funders.
  • Responsible for internal grant tracking and reporting systems that ensure timely completion of grant deliverables and compliance, including required Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act reporting and required insurance coverage documentation for each grant.
  • Responsible for researching and writing grant proposals and preparing documents for grant applications to ensure timely submission.
  • Serves as a resource for Arizona health centers on the topics of grant strategy and administration.
  • Facilitates AACHC’s Grants Peer Networking Committee, which brings together health center grant professionals for sharing of information and collaboration.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in administering, budgeting, compliance, and writing of federal and/or health care grants.
  • Familiarity with federal grant guidelines and restrictions. Previous experience in health care setting a plus.
