Terros Health is pleased to share an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Senior Director of Finance working at our Central Avenue location (possibility for remote in Arizona).  Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the ideal individual is flexible, compassionate and professional.  The Senior Director of Finance will provide leadership for all phases of financial, budget, analysis, and reporting services including budget preparation, formulation, presentation, execution, and financial management policy. The Senior Director of Finance is responsible for providing financial management and oversight in multiple areas of Terros Health.

Main duties –

  • Consolidate data for the presentation of the budget through the use of appropriate staffing models and historical data and provide a viable overview of the financial status of operations.
  • Analyze accounting records and analyze funds to identify possible trends which may result in surplus or shortage of funds.
  • Responsible for evaluation of the relationships between major program changes including one-time funding and the financial status of individual clinics, ensuring adequate funds for program coverage, and preparing reports for effective decision-making.
  • Facilitates idea generation and quantification of savings initiatives (areas of focus include provider contracting, utilization management, care management, risk adjustment, operational efficiencies, etc.).
  • Develop and implement standardized tools to be used for budgeting, forecasting, real-time reporting of program/functional financial results, comparison of actual to budgeted costs, staff productivity reporting and other reporting needs as identified.
  • Creation of budgets for new programs and RFIs.

Education – Required: BA or BS Degree or equivalent experience in finance, accounting, and business administration.

Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a behavioral health managed care environment.

  • Advanced skills in Excel, Data bases and Business Intelligence Software
  • Knowledge of the concepts, practices, laws and regulations which apply to budgeting for programs and services, including knowledge of TERROS policies, as well as knowledge of the process and procedures in which budgets are developed, transmitted, presented, and examined by TERROS management as well as stakeholders.
  • Ability to work well independently with little supervision. Identifying and analyzing problems and recommending solutions.
  • Possess excellent analytical skills. Ability to process electronic reports. Proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices including GAAP
  • Must have valid Arizona driver’s license, be 22 years of age with minimum 3 years driving experience and meet requirements of Terros Health’s driving policy.
  • Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within 7 working days of assuming role.
  • Must pass a TB Test.
